What’s a dummy barrel? I just assumed that is a 16” barrel. Is that what’s next to that Allen key looking tool? Is it a fake barrel for looks?

The Uzi Model A and Model B came with a fake barrel an owner could install in order to make the Uzi look like it does with the standard subgun barrel. You can see this dummy barrel in the top photo. It's sitting just above the rear sight.

I’m not a big fan of tax stamps, but this one would probably be worthy It looks a lot better with the short barrel I quit school in elementary because of recess.......too many games --Riff Raff--

That is cool. I had a model B years ago. It was a tank but it ate everything that I fed it. It was a fun gun to have.

I had a model A and decided that I really liked the short barrel better than the 16". I ended up selling it and got a Vector subgun. The 16 is a fun plinker, but the short barrel really makes it fun. Full auto is even more fun. The only problem with the subgun is that it shoots from an open bolt. The semis shoot from a closed bolt which is much smoother. Making it a SBR is the sweet spot between the long barrel and the subgun in my opinion. Plus it is much cheaper than the subgun. Register it on a eform then engrave it and get a short barrel. They make semi short barrels, the subgun barrel won't work.

Not exactly the same thing but when I had an HK94 I hated the 16” barrel, so I sold it & got an MP5 pistol & SBR’d it I liked it even less, then I got a registered sear and stock. What what was missing was obvious and I was in love. If you really want something you'll find a way ... ... if you don't you'll find an excuse. I'm really not a "kid" anymore ... but I haven't grown up yet either

How does that dummy barrel look at the muzzle end? I assume it's basically a sold steel rod attached to the collar. It doesn't disable the receiver in anyway, so it's possible to fire with it installed and...KA-BOOM?

IIRC, it's aluminum | |||

Upper left, next to the dummy barrel. What is that tool for?

Probably doesn't allow you to chamber a round. ______________________________________________ Carthago delenda est

It's a front sight adjustment tool. When the Model B came out, they changed this tool to a flat, stamped piece.

The dummy barrel has no bore. It’s solid except for a recessed area at the muzzle. Also, it’s not a full length barrel. It’s just a stub with a flange and gets captured by the barrel nut. The part of the barrel inside of the receiver in front of the bolt doesn’t exist.

Looks like you could kaboom it with the dummy barrel on for sure, it’s solid I quit school in elementary because of recess.......too many games --Riff Raff--

There’s no part of the dummy barrel inside of the receiver, so there’s no chamber for the round to go into. The bolt would just strip the round off of the mag and into the big empty area in front of the receiver. The round will just roll around in there.
