I picked up a S&W FPC and I am looking for options for a sling and a light. Budget is $250 total. I see that Magpul makes a few slings convert from single point to two point. I like the idea of having one sling that can be used either way, does anyone have any experience with those or a sling like them? I also need a flashlight and mount. I don't need anything that will put a spot on the moon, just something that will light up a potential target at household/backyard distances. What do ya'll like for that? I have a Vortex red dot sight on it so that is taken care of. My goal is to keep this as light as possible and maintain the ability to fold it and have it fit in the carrying case it came with. It will do double duty as part of the home defense setup and sometimes as an unobtrusive truck gun as part of a get home kit. If I have any cash left over I might get a short flash hider but that can wait. The Inforce WML is lightweight light and decent for the price. I am also a fan of the blue force gear slings.

Same. The BFG VCAS is the gold standard for quality defensive long gun slings. If you absolutely need the 2-to-1 point convertibility, they offer this more expensive "221" variant: https://www.blueforcegear.com/...ns-sling-2-to-1.html
I love the Inforce WML form factor and was an early adopter, but it pains me to say that my experience with their build quality has been hit or miss. I've owned and used about a half dozen WMLs and WMLXs over the years, both Gen 1 and Gen 2. Two of them developed cracks in their plastic with minimal hard use. Two others suffered parasitic drain, and would drain the batteries even when sitting unused. That's about 66% that have had problems. As a result, I simply can no longer recommend the Inforce WML lights for serious use. (Note: I see that Inforce has now begun offering Generation 3 of their WMLs, so maybe they've finally ironed out these durability and circuitry issues. Maybe not.) The Streamlight TLR RM1 and RM2 lights are very similar designs to the WML models, with basically identical output, intensity, and throw, but the TLR RMs are of higher quality (aluminum) construction and offering greater durability, in my experience. I've had no circuitry issues with them (so far), and have transitioned my Inforce WMLs over these on my serious use rifles. https://www.streamlight.com/products/detail/tlr-rm1 https://www.streamlight.com/products/detail/tlr-rm2

Either of those streamlights look like they would work. As far as the sling goes, I might just get a single point sling. The odds are pretty slim that I would ever have to throw this rifle over my shoulder and hike ten or fifteen miles. I can always keep some paracord in the bag and make an improvised sling if needed. On second thought, I agree with Rogue on his light choice. I only have a small sample size of lights and the feel of the Inforce could be described as the most fragile of the bunch. My Inforce lived on an evo 3 carbine and did not see any sort of hard use.

huge fan of both. I have them on my HD and my work AR. I beat the hell out of my work AR and they haven't failed me yet. I have the Magpul sling that can go from a 1pt to a 2pt. Not a big fan of the 1pt sling. It always seems to hang so the weapon hits me in the nuts. The Blueforce is on my HD and a shotgun, and they are working out perfectly! ______________________________________________________________________ "When its time to shoot, shoot. Another vote for the BlueForce sling. I love their ULoop hardware. Another NO vote for the single point. They are awkward as hell. A 2-pt isn't just for hiking miles with the rifle slung. If you need to use the rifle in a HD situation, it is very possible that you will need two hands at some point. A 2pt sling can be very handy. ________________________________________ -- Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I love my FPC! I played around with a few lights and ended up putting one of these at 12 o'clock where the front sight would be: https://inforcelights.com/coll...ucts/wml-white-gen-3 Slim, light, and doesn't interfere with the folding and my thumb naturally activates it which I like. I was going to recommend my favorite single point sling from SKD Tactical, but it doesn't look like they sell them anymore. These guys list them but I'd call first: https://www.rockriverarms.com/...lay&category_ID=1591 IDPA ESP SS
