Grumpy Biker (or anyone that knows please) - Need your help because I know you have several simular blade style AR’s....

If I order this lower

http://palmettostatearmory.com...l-lower-classic.html

Will a KAK Stabilizing Blade fit on this buffer tube or will I need to purchase the entire KAK Shockwave kit that has the KAK Buffer Tube assembly and KAK Shockwave Pistol Stabilizing Blade?

I want to go with the Colt lower rather than the Glock lower and PSA does not have the Colt lower with the KAK system attached like they do for the Glock Lower (see link below)....

http://palmettostatearmory.com...lower-516447578.html

Thanks for your help...Mark

The KAK tube will have dimples for the blade's 'set screw' to lock into.

The KAK Shockwave tube is oversized compared to a standard buffer tube.
So it may not be as tight a fit on this one.

Since that lower is complete all you'd need is the tube & blade combo.
Found ya one for less than $60.

Grumpy Biker,
Sorry, I should have put a link in there but it was on PSA's front page.
Thanks for the info on the KAK tube and blade.

Oh I was just F*ing with you.
The timing of this sale is funny to my friends.
I just built a 6.5 Grendel. I originally used the complete Colt receivers I had in the safe.
Then decided I wanted to try Ceramic Coating this build & didn't want to screw up the Colt parts.
So I bought stripped billet receivers & did a complete build off those.
I put the Colt parts back in the safe designated for a 9mm Colt mag pistol build as PSA no longer offered their Colt mag set up.

I priced a quality mag block @ $180.... then this sale comes out.

I swear it's like there's a conspiracy to keep my hobby fund empty and me looking for a way to fit one more gun in my 3 safes. Wink
I have started 2 other builds with these Colt receivers only to not use them & go a different direction.
Then I see them sitting there & start thinking of another build... I'm starting to think they may be cursed !

Seems just when I've put my foot down & made a decision a sale comes along like this & throws me off my game !

Thanks for the heads up though.
I have a few friends that are very interested.

That's for sure.

So what's a good source for magazines?
Metalform? ASC?

I'll leave the "which brand is best" to those with experience with this set up.
But Primary Arms has Colt style 32rd mags for $19. Each

I’m still waiting on my AR 9 glock lower that I ordered a month ago. First time I’ve been bitten by the PSA slow shipping bug and I’ve ordered lots of things from them.

I was hoping that wouldn't be the case.

I just got a notice saying it has shipped so I'm good.

Metalform who makes OEM colt mags are certainly the best. But prices have been steadily rising as of late.

ASC work just fine too. Though the spring seems weaker as the follower tends to nose dive a bit easier for me but has not caused a feeding issue.

Buy the PSA mags when they are in stock usually $19. They are made by Metalform. They come back in stock almost weekly.
