A friend of mine has done a PSA lower with a PSA build kit. I think I can handle the lower build, and if I get into trouble I'll have him waiting in the wings. We really don't have much off the shelf options here in Pueblo. For some odd reason one store here the guy that was helping me was doing his damnedest to get me away from the AR's they had. Been meaning to go up to Springs and poke around in Specialty Sports, but I've got two kids graduating this Spring, and an elderly mother in law that is insisting on being a problem, so I haven't had much time.

I don't miss those days at all.

While the 6920 is a perfectly fine utilitarian rifle, they were always overpriced at $1200. You can get a better rifle now for $7-800 inflated dollars compared to $1200 ten to fifteen years ago.

I agree with this. I’d take a Saint,M&P, AR556 over a colt for hundreds less. Colt Ar’s are very overpriced and basic IMO.
