Hi.

I'd like to suggest something counter intuitive.

White Lithium Grease.

I use this method for securing all manor of things. From rings down to 1911 bushings.

Just a wee dab on the threads, and sock it down. It's now air tight, and won't either seize or shoot loose.

Crazy, I know, but you can always get things apart.

Thanks everyone for the advice. Here is the final result


Ruger 10/22 Target Tactical, Nikon Prostaff 3x9 40mm, Weigand interamount 1-piece mount and ring.

I ended up using the vibra-tite on the mount screws only and left the rings alone.

Gotta sight it in sometime this week.
