Jewell trigger on the 30ppc malfunctioned and was replaced. Bad trigger sent to Jewell for service and was returned in new condition. Total shipping repair and return was 8 days, amazing! I am likely preaching to the choir as Jewell is well regarded, but to experience their level of service is huge added value to their triggers. Lick the lollipop of mediocrity once and you suck forever.

Haven't needed any service and hopefully wont but this is good to know. I have one in my Rem 700 and love it except it seems narrow a bit but that is not important. The only problem I had was to slightly modifying my AICS chassis to make it fit - but is wasn't that bad.

I've had a Jewell on my F-TR match rifle for 11 years. It was originally set to break at 1.5 ounces. I must have fired way north of 25,000 rounds with it, plus lots of dry-firing. A few months ago, I encountered some strangeness with it, and decided to upgrade to a Bix&Andy trigger. I ordered one and got it installed in a few minutes and I was amazed at the difference. It's all about what you get used to. My Jewel was great 11 years ago and over time it got progressively, yet imperceptibly heavier. When I replaced it with the B&A trigger, it was a huge difference. I am not blaming the Jewell in any way; the design is open and I tried to keep it clean. (I carry cans of air in my match bag.) The B&A is a closed design and it's definitely different. We shall see how long that one lasts, though I suspect it won't get as much use as the Jewell as I am getting on in age. I did contact Jewell and they said to send it in and they will clean it up and retune it for not a lot of money. I need to do that to have it as a backup.

^ I've shot the Jewell in that F-TR rifle. 1.5oz is shockingly light. Glad I was behind an empty chamber the first time my finger touched the trigger, which was about all it took to release the hammer. The Enemy's gate is down.

Yeah, I remember that. It was several years ago already. But that's exactly why I have people dry fire it from position before loading a cartridge in it. The B&A seems to act from your thoughts only. Very scary if you are not ready for it.

It was a fun day, even with the variable windy & chilly temps The Enemy's gate is down.
