I see threads about rings. I need a riser only. Thanks though.

RHINOWSOSo you want a riser for rings?
Old school.

sasquatch28I use a cantilever Burris PEPR QD Mount. It works great.

JPD217I use a Burris PEPR mount on my 5.56 upper, but when I built the 6.5 Grendel upper I wanted the scope lower than the PEPR would allow. I bought this, but it is a 20 MOA mount. I believe they also have one on Amazon that is 0 MOA.

Works ok, I would recommend lock tight on the screws.

I can’t use rings with this scope, hence the need for the riser.

old rugged crossWhy? Eye relief issue. A bushnell variable scope should not be an issue for an AR
A LaRue SPR mount is not a riser, persae. But a really good set up. And not some chicom unit.

Could you explain this further -- preferably with pictures.
From Bushnell's pictures on the web, this scope appears to be pretty straight forward in size and in type of construction, which means it works well with rings.
Rings are available in many styles and in many heights -- from bore-hugging to high enough to require building up the buttstock for a normal cheek weld.
One-piece mounts work well with the majority of ARs. There are multiple ring heights, flat or canted bases, and cantilevered mounts for those who use a nose-to-charging-handle cheek weld.

LeemurNevermind, I though the rings were a part of the scope. Derp.

+1
I just received an X-Skel mount from Warne -- courtesy of a prize table. I haven't installed it yet, as I'm working through scope upgrades & rotations.
The X-Skel seems to be pretty solid and well made. It seems to be lighter than my other one-piece mounts. List price is quite reasonable compared to some of my other mounts.

mrmn50Try eBay for your risers.
