A trip to the (not so) local fun store resulted in the purchase of this beauty:

I had recently started to get back into my .22 rifles lately and have been trying to find an extractor spring and extractor for my J.C. Higgins model 31 without much luck. I had seen this rifle at the shop a few weeks ago, did some research and decided if I could find one with a nice piece of wood I would buy it. There were two in stock, the display and this one. Once I saw the tiger stripes on the stock my mind was made up. The scope & rings are a set of Warne rings and a Vortex Crossfire II 2-7X32 rimfire. Very nicely made, fit & finished and the trigger is amazing! Off to the range tomorrow where I will also try out my J.C. Higgins 31.

Beautiful wood on that one. One of the greatest 22’s in existence if you ask me. Sometimes you want that $1000+ Anshultz, when in reality a gun half it’s price does just as well. I’ve got 3 CZ 22’s. A 452 Scout, a 455 American, and the 457 Pro Varmint. All excellent shooters and worth more than I paid for any of them

Both sweet shooters

I made it to the range today and put some rounds through the new CZ. All I can say is that it shoots as well as it looks! Very smooth and reliable with an excellent trigger right out of the box, I was able to put 5-10 rounds into a 1” target dot at 50 yards today, consistently stacking round upon round. Very good results for me!

This is the 3rd CZ firearm I have purchased within the last year, the others being a blue/black Shadow 2 and an AccuShadow 2, and needless to say I am very impressed! CZ makes some outstanding firearms.
