Hammer1967I just bought one from Bear Creek Armory, stainless heavy barrel. Bolt and charging handle included.
On sale $219 delivered
I’ve put 216 rounds down the pipe no issues, decent accuracy.

Chris OrndorffRRA Varmint A4. I loaned mine out to a co-worker who is a very good rifle shooter. He brought it back the next day and ordered the very same rifle. Told me he was hitting 4” targets at 500 yards with it. True or not he felt it worth buying! I really like it, but I don’t consider myself a good long range shooter.

DoctorSoloBuild one up with nice parts. Try to get them on sale. It's very satisfying when its all done.
Fritz brought my attention to Wilson Combat barrels, and they seem very nicely made for ~$300. Buy the gas block from the same manufacturer you buy the barrel from.
The only specialized tool I used was a gas block pin guide. It's a 30$ chunk of aluminum that makes the job easy.
https://www.brownells.com/tool...6-gas-tube-pin-tool/All of the usual AR vendors sell those. I just have an affinity for Brownells.
This punch is also REAL nice.
https://www.brownells.com/tool...-tool-for-gas-block/ETA also should get a reaction rod of some flavor, it simplifies torquing the barrel nut and muzzle device. They don't need to be expensive:

sourdough44I’m kinda big on Midwest Industries lately. My last was a 16” lightweight Upper. I just happened to catch it on sale at Brownells. Midwest Industries is headquartered in SE WI.
