It's been a few years since I built anything and have been acquiring some parts over the years as well as trying to take advantage of deals whenever possible.

First, I sort of got interested in a better (or different) bolt action from my Rem 700 5R and decided to try the 6.5CM.
A BLUE MDT chassis, Terminus Zeus Action, Proof Barrel, Triggertech Trigger and took my S&B off my 5R.
Also decided to try a Acutac bipod and an Ultradyne comp, Seekins rings.
Just finished ~ actually pretty easy but not sighted in or shot yet ...SOON!

Second, decided to Cerakote a Seekins upper+lower in Sky Blue and weather it (wipe off partially) with Magpul Stealth Gray.

Magpul UBR + MOE grip Stealth Gray, Proof Barrel, Geissele SD E Trigger, Ultradyne comp, the Wilson Combat BCG that was a deal found here on a SF thread.
Used an Atlas bipod I already had.
Acquired a Steiner TX6i optic and Bobro mount through Internet deals.
Also just finished and not sighted in or shot yet.

^^^ Yeah the blue comes out with this two-tone a little different, depending on the angle viewed. It was the first time I tried this technique Cerakoting.

I picked up this blue pre-ban receiver a few years ago, put it together with parts-bin parts … I call it my “UglyAR”

I was told by an old-timer while walking it around at a gun show that the blue receiver indicated it was for less-lethal rounds.

If you really want something you'll find a way ...
... if you don't you'll find an excuse.

I'm really not a "kid" anymore ... but I haven't grown up yet either Wink

Nice! I like the Seekins Build Color. Turned out nice.

I've got a bright blue TacSol x-Ring and a bright red ARMSAN shot gun for clays. (Forget who importer is)

But I love a untraditional firearm with some personality.

Typically, blue is used to denote training/dummy/simunition guns. Like these:

But with gun parts being available in any color you want nowadays, that's far from universal these days.
