Got my daughter a used Remington 700 CDL a while back, in .243 caliber. Came with a fixed power Weaver 4x on low mount rings, with the split picatinny rail system. Dunno what the height on the rings is, just says 1" on the rings (style with 2 screws on left side, giant screw on the right that tightens to bases). Anyhow, I tried to just swap them out, but the scope needs to move forward just a skosh and it is waaay too close to the bolt handle on the back optic bell. All that said, and for someone who likes specific detail (i.e., buy this item number, etc), what's a solid, non bulky set of rings and or bases that I can buy to set this rifle up? Would be fine continuing to use the bases that are on it now, if you have rec. for rings that will fit. Really just was trying to give her better magnification as she has gotten more comfortable with longer range shots. Thanks as always for any input. ________________________________________________ "You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. Weaver offers an extended base set of rings that fit Weaver bases...I'm not sure about where they are made or their quality. The set on Amazon are shown as high rings which might put the scope to high to be comfortable for your daughter... https://www.amazon.com/Weaver-...id=1576278430&sr=8-2 Leupold also makes a set of extended set of rings that use their STD bases...they are not as inexpensive as the Weaver rings plus the bases add to the cost. But they do come in different heights. Leupold makes a quality scope ring... https://www.amazon.com/Leupold...id=1576280310&sr=8-1 https://www.amazon.com/Leupold...6280114&sr=8-1-fkmr0 ******************************************************** "we've gotta roll with the punches, learn to play all of our hunches Making the best of what ever comes our way Forget that blind ambition and learn to trust your intuition Plowing straight ahead come what may And theres a cowboy in the jungle" Jimmy Buffet

I've got 2 sets of Warne 1" QD rings, one medium and one high, that I'm not using (went with a one-piece mount instead). Probably the medium ones for that scope. I'll karma you either of them if you like and if you can wait a few days to get them.
