No pictures, but a friend was zeroing his recently-acquired Tikka T3x ACE Target* chambered for 6.5 Creedmoor. The ACE line was announced during the SHOT show, but wasn’t available immediately for shipment from any of the suppliers we had checked. As I understand it he got in the queue early and probably received one of the first sent to ordinary folk (not YouTube influencers). The ACE is available in two series, the Game and the Target. I haven’t tried to determine what all the differences are, but two obvious differences are that the Game is available in many more cartridge chamberings and the Target uses the Sako TRG-type magazines (which I prefer). The Target is available (here, anyway) only in 223 Remington, 6.5 Creedmoor, and 308 Winchester. Tikka generally guarantees 1 minute of angle precision at 100 yards with suitable ammunition, and every group my friend fired using the Hornady 140 grain ELD Match load was well under that. Last year I purchased a T3x Super Varmint in 223 Remington that I’m happy with, but if I had known that the ACE was coming I definitely would have waited. * https://www.eurooptic.com/tikka-t3x-ace-target-rifles ► 6.0/94.0 To operate serious weapons in a serious manner.

Interesting. Pretty much the Tikka version of the SIG Cross. Phone's ringing, Dude.

Looks like a neat option, I've always had amazing accurate from my Tikkas. I'm guessing Tikka saw how many people bought their rifles just to swap into another chassis and decided to offer more modern options out of the box. I wanted to assemble a lightweight Tikka version of a Sig Cross too. The closest I've been able to get without a bunch of gunsmith work is a Tikka Roughtech in 6.5CM with a 20" medium profile fluted barrel bolted into the MDT HNT26 chassis. So far it came out great but I still need to get it to the range. Once this barrel is done then I'll look at an 18" carbon fiber option to get the weight down even more. ![]()

Nice setup. Participation in precision rifle competition has exploded in recent years, and that’s undoubtedly increased interest in those types of rifles among shooters who don’t plan to compete but who want the advantages such setups offer. Tikka sort of dipped into that with the UPR model, but as some reviewers pointed out it wasn’t really ideal for the purpose. The TAC A1 models do a better job of filling that role, but the ACE Target has desirable features that the earlier models don’t. ► 6.0/94.0 To operate serious weapons in a serious manner.

My buddy has one and after shooting it myself I said it's like cheating it's so smooth and accurate. "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing" Edmund Burke

They look pretty interesting and Tikka seems to understand the market with a good product. I've been wondering about getting one or a Zermatt and a barrel of my choosing and KRG stock. Tikka/Sako have great factory barrels, but I've been able to squeeze about 1/4 MOA out of aftermarket....honestly that doesn't matter that much. I'm just bored. ![]()
