Now that I have been deemed worthy to have a SBR, I get to take a crack at assembling my first upper from scratch. I took a first run through searching YouTube and they seem to generally be the same, but some of the small details differ. So which YouTube video in your opinion is the way that it should be done? --------------- "Structural engineering is the art of moulding materials we don't understand into shapes we cannot precisely analyze, so as to withstand forces we cannot really access, in such a way that the community at large has no reason to suspect the extent of our ignorance." Congrats. I hope it didn’t take too long.
That looks pretty good. I do cringe a little when people ignore torque values though. He’s done more than me though so … crank it down, I guess. I like this site for reading a written page rather than watching a video. https://www.pewpewtactical.com...r-15-upper-receiver/ It’s mostly a huge page of affiliate links but the info is good.

I’ll second Brownells. My first build was done with their videos and all went smooth. That said, I came hear tonight to search Muzzle devices for 300 BO pistols before I go to YouTube to see what’s out there for building an upper videos I did search YouTube for installing a Law folder. As soon as I saw Brownells had one I clicked on that. No nonsense, to the point instructions as I expected. I am not BIPOLAR. I don't even like bears.

Used the Midwayusa videos for a complete rifle several years ago. Bought some tools, and all went well.
