Sweet!
You really did score Smile

Here's a closer look at the action.

There's an interesting eye-shaped cut on the left side of the action. As a side note, this is the first SAI rifle that I've seen that had the right width between the bolt stop ears.

The tab is a little worn and mis-shaped but measures in at 0.089." I could have it re-tabbed by Columbus for $50.

The bolt is in good condition and has been re-parked. There's some color mismatch, but no big deal.

I've never seen the dot-matrix engraving before.

The barrel is over-indexed but headspace is 1.633" and would only open up maybe 0.001" once barrel index is corrected.

I'm on the fence as to what to do with the action. I might keep it or part it out. I haven't decided yet.

The gun is unfired. So the seller sold the gun knowing it was defective?? That is the only logical conclusion I could come up with??

and no one has ever lied about a gun being "unfired" on the internet before ... especially one that's 21 years old and has been extensively modified with an expensive stock and the builder NEVER shot it?

It seems unlikely so I stick by my comment "Once bitten twice shy" but I'm also glad to see Benny6 got exactly what was advertised.
