Fun to try, but don't see myself spending $450 on it... Have tried one before, surprising how quickly it rises in 3-5 rounds The Enemy's gate is down.

Not to mention the additional cost of replacing all the ammo that you rapidly turned into smoke and noise just for giggles.

I honestly really do want one of these for a suppressed AR9, but I'm going to go with one of the competitors they're obligated to sue. I think the settlement with the condition that they aggressively litigate a patent that's on shaky ground needs further figuring out in court. I can help shake that loose by supporting the competition. If Rare Breed loses on their patent claim, we all stand to win big. ______________________________________________ "If the truth shall kill them, let them die.” Endeavoring to master the subtle art of the grapefruit spoon.

Want one. Waiting for somebody to test the FL statute…

Me too, not sure why nobody is going after the statute which bans FRT's and "bump stocks" that nobody uses?? "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing" Edmund Burke

Got one and put it in an AR rifle. It don’t work. Single shot Is fine but frt consistently jams.

You almost always have to tune your AR around an FRT or Super Safety to get them to actually run. Try out different weight buffers and/or different buffer springs. ______________________________________________ "If the truth shall kill them, let them die.” Endeavoring to master the subtle art of the grapefruit spoon.

****** OLD THREAD BEING REKINDLED ****** Grumpy - May I ask if you ever received and installed your Rare Breed FRT and if so three questions please. 1 - Did you purchase a drop in assembly? 2 - Did you have to make any gun modifications to make it function as intended? 3 - Does it still function as intended and any regrets? Thanks, Mark

Purchase the Partisan Disruptor from Optics Planet. I've bought two from them and they ship out quick. https://www.opticsplanet.com/p...r-rifle-trigger.html The ONLY modification is you need to put an H3 tungsten weight buffer in a carbine or shorter rifle. You remove your trigger assembly, loosen the grip enough to allow the detent to drop down a bit, remove the safety lever. Put the FRT cartridge down in the pocket and install the anti-walk pins. Now install the safety and tighten the grip. I will be testing one in a 22 today with the BoreBuddy Ciener/CMMG trip kit. Here's it just running first try with a 9mm Banshee upper put on it. ____________________________ Eeewwww, don't touch it! Here, poke at it with this stick.

I picked up the Arizona Regulator drop in unit last month and while in our local distributer for them, the sales guy told me he had personally tried out most of the different makers models. He advised me to save a few bucks on the buffer and to buy one from Tromix, it is steel and has the recipricating function of the tungsten weighted ones for considerably less. I also just picked up a Partison Disruptor at the show yesterday because I wanted the safety selecter function over the full time of the drop in.

Nice thing about the H3 buffer is you can remove one of the weights down to an H2 and replace it with a steel one out of your old buffer if needed. Ore just get a cheap buffer and take one of its weights out to use. ____________________________ Eeewwww, don't touch it! Here, poke at it with this stick.

Just my personal advice, but the AS Designs Arc Fire is the way to go. I’ve got three or four of them. They run! "Attack life, it's going to kill you anyway." Steve McQueen...

Mars - Trigger arrived yesterday and it dropped right into my AR lower. I watched and followed the videos provided by the company. Buffer also arrived so now to schedule a range trip. Hoping to go out before the weekend as range is usually quiet during the week. Gonna start with a 16” 5.56 upper unit. If this works then in the next few weeks I will try it on a 300 B/O upper to see which one runs the best. Update to follow - Thanks again for your help. Dry-Fly - Thanks for your post. I did not see it until after placing my order.

Mars - Made it to the range today and needless to say I had a ball. My lower is an SBR registered S&W M&P lower that I registered several years back. The Partisan Disruptor dropped right in with no required modifications. Wiped everything down with a light coat of gun grease, changed the buffer to the H3 you recommended and my lower was ready. Went with two different uppers on today’s range trip. First set up was a standard S&W 16” upper with the bolt changed out to a M16 style bolt. Light cleaning and wipe down before heading to the range. First mag (mill spec 30 round aluminum mag) and I fired three rounds in semi-auto as well as checked the safety and all worked correctly. Flipped the selector over to FRT and it fired three rounds and then stopped (failed to eject). Loaded another round and after three rounds had a FTF issue. At this point I grabbed a Lancer 20 round AR mag with about 15 rounds in it and it worked perfectly. Repeated the process with another 10 rounds and another flawless cycle. Second upper - Hardened Arms AR upper with a 10” barrel. Only used the Lancer mag and it cycled three 10 round sets without a single issue. More range time to follow to continue to learn what works and what may not work. The old aluminum OKay brand 30 round mag is an older mag so it may have some lip issues. Will try others in the future to see it that one needs to be culled. Also - ammo I used was Federal 55gr FMJ that I bought at Academy. This was the only ammo I took today to try. THANK YOU and Screaming Cockatoo again for the guidance and direction. Still need more range time to ensure I find the mix that works but for now I have a grin that will take several days to go away.

I took my Partisan hammer spring and bent the contact point forward to give it more pressure on the hammer. Your 16" barrel might require you to remove one weight from the buffer and replace it with a steel weight, making it an H2. I only run USGI magazines and they function flawlessly in all my ARs. ____________________________ Eeewwww, don't touch it! Here, poke at it with this stick.
