My buddy purchased this gun, fired a 50rd box through it and packed it away in his safe. A few days ago he asked if I was interested in purchasing it and ammo for a really good deal as he is getting out of the 5.7 game. I asked, what is a really good deal….? His reply was $600 for the gun and 700rds of federal ammo. Well, that really is a good deal since the guns sell for around $7-800 and 700rds of Federal 5.7 ammo is about $400. Naturally I said yes .

Over the years I have owned the FN P90 and FN 5.7. The P90 was like holding a 2x4 and strained my neck to shoot it. The 5.7 pistol did exactly nothing for me. This gun however is a different little beast. There is almost no recoil, it is accurate and gets you well over 2000 FPS from its 16” barrel. I am seriously thinking of using it as my truck gun with 2 extra mags of 20rds each.


Originally I had a Holosun 507 on it, but the parallax at 50yds had me pulling my shots left if my head and dot was not in the same spot every time. I had this little 1-4 Leupold shotgun scope which gives me a true 1x and allows me to get better groups at 4x. I need to make those little expensive bullets count and the red dot was not doing it for me.

What do you guys think of the 5.7 in general?

I'd really like to get the "Charger" version of the LC 5.7 and SBR it. It's top of my list of To-Do's for after the holidays, etc..

I like it! I recently picked up a PSA Rock, because, it’s cheap, and I’m wondering if it may make a nice Wife Gun, as she doesn’t like shooting 9mm or larger. Im hoping increased traction of the round may help being ammo prices down, too.

Have you tried the PSA Rock 23 round mags in your Ruger yet? I’ve seen reports that they work. Plus, there’s someone online selling +7 mag extensions for those, which gets you 30 rounds in the gun.
