ElKabong, are you strong enough to shoot it standing as I was unable to? Prone only as it weighs near 11 pounds.

An adjustable palm rest may be in order. I've had 2 US H&R M12 targets and much the same. The heavies are too much rifle for me. Intermediate weight barrels are my limit. I had a chance to buy a US Kimber new in the box but again I passed due to the weight issue. Thank God the 52 rifles came in various barrel contours. Your 40X will be incredibly accurate and we'd enjoy seeing it with scope mounted. Good place to start ammo wise is CCI SV and Federal GMM. Both are very clean rounds and known for being accurate and affordable.

25 & 50yd USBR targets
Used to shoot postal matches back in the day.

We still have some $$ rimfire matches around here too
They’ll make me shoot in the open class against the custom builds

good choices on ammo,

I'd add SK or Wolf Match Target or Match Extra to the list (SK makes Wolf target ammo)

what year is that 1413?

my Anschutz looks identical from the trigger forward,
