Had a gift card to burn & wanted something slimmer than the add-on pic-rail & AFG2 I currently have.

Picked up an M-LOK handstop kit, went to install & it doesn't fit my MOE handguards.

Turns out plain MOE slots are incompatible with M-LOK accessories. Curvature of the handguard is a bit wrong too, so even using longer bolts wouldn't alleviate it completely.

Looks like the MOE-SL are M-LOK compatible, so guess I'll pick one of those up.

Yeah, early/original MOE handguards came out before the MLOK system, and are not cross-compatible.

However, newer versions of the MOE handguards are MLOK compatible. These will be specifically described by Magpul as being "MOE MLOK":

So one option is to you replace your older MOE handguard with a newer MOE MLOK or MOE-SL MLOK handguard, with which the MLOK accessories will work.

Or, Magpul also sells a MLOK-to-MOE adapter kit, which is intended to allows some (but not all) MLOK accessories to fit on original MOE handguards:

I'll probably end up with an SL, then I'll have the AFG2 & MOE. Guess I'll need to build another AR, so they aren't sitting unused Big Grin

I just used one of these ^adaptors to put an M-Lok AFG on my Sig M400. Worked out fine.
