I handled the short one recently at the LGS, very very nice.

Had second thoughts, went back and it had been sold.

I would get the shorter one first and the plan on the longer.

What I wish, was the shorter one was a couple inches longer… it is quite short at 16”, 18 would have been a no brainer to me.

That’s personal preference, the rifle is a gem.

Can’t bring myself to have a Japanese made lever gun, they are absolutely great quality and fully serviceable, but there’s just something I can’t get over.

I have had countless levers over the years, and always went with US made winchesters ( most were pre WWII guns)

Right now I am searching for an affordable original ‘73 as my final grail lever. They are either beat to death or very expensive

I just picked up a new Moroku built Winchester 1892, this one in .357, and big loop. Was looking for an 1892 in .44-40, but there weren’t any in town, but this one was. Didn’t really want the large loop, but I didn’t let that stop me, plus it’s sorta growing on me. It’s not bad at all!

My FIL had one in .218 Bee he let me shoot. Great rabbit rifle.
