ZacsquatchBuilt a "Kitty Kat" with a twist.
Had a spare lower, upper, carry handle and bcg in the parts drawer so I decided to build a cheap kitty kat in 300 blackout. Karri's guns have these FSB 7.5" barrels for $120 and I scored a pistol handguard for $40 on another forum so I threw this together. I have a 3d printed car style brace but shot it with a SBA3 on it.
I took it to the range and shot it suppressed and unsuppressed. Cycled subs when suppressed as is, but not with the can off (using extra power spring and H1 buffer, so could possibly drop weight there if I wanted to but this will be a supersonic gun for the most part)
Supersonics ran great and had the best accuracy, which was the intent for this gun anyways to be a bag gun with supers.
I shot it standing at 50yds and had good enough accuracy. Top target was subs and I shot 2/3 of the mag for function before moving the sights to the right. Bottom target was supers and shot a bit better.

m499Cool, I've always wanted to build a suppressed 7.5" but settled for 10.5" for now.
Does that upper use a pigtail gas tube like the 5.56 versions?

No, just a straight pistol length gas tube with an opened up gas port on the barrel.

m499Yeah that makes sense as you typically need
more gas with the 300BLK and the pigtail tube was invented to tame the over-gas'd 5.56 in the 7.5" barrels.
thanks
