I've found a closeout deal on 270 and 30-06 "Elite Copper" hunting ammo from Sig. Have any of you shot this, especially at game? I have always liked the performance of solid copper and shoot it regularly in a couple of calibers. I'm gonna vote for the funniest frog with the loudest croak on the highest log.

If a great deal, that’s the first step. Next is that it shoots good in your gun. I’ve mostly used Barnes copper in my muzzleloader, most excellent on deer. I think it would be just fine on game, better than fine likely. I went elk hunting about 7 years ago. I tried a handful of bullets but ended up liking the simple 165 grain Sierra Gameking best, 300 WSM. Yes, very easy to find a more specialized bullet for the task. As events unfolded, I got a shot at a 5x5, near 30 yards away, close. One hit with my load & down the elk went, neck shot. I do believe a quality bullet can help tilt odds in your favor, the rest being equal.

This is the deal. And I confirmed these are 130gr, not 120 like the page title says. With shipping, though, I decided not to buy. I have tons of brass, an old stock of 130gr Barnes X bullets, and 5 pounds of powder that I need to put together instead. https://battlehawkarmory.com/p...n-120-gr-20-bx-10-cs I'm gonna vote for the funniest frog with the loudest croak on the highest log.
