So my old eyes fight to find the sights these days. I need to move on to scopes for these 2 rifles.

I can't afford an aimpoint or anything in that range.

I'm looking at the Vortex Strikefire 2 reddot 1x for my mini14 and the Spitfire 3x prism scope for my AR.

Anyone familiar with those Vortexs on their similar platform?

The mini is the NRA limited edition with the heavy barrel and my AR is a BCM upper on a PSA lower.

Any other recommendations?

I have the Spitfire on my AR. I found it easy to set up, holds 0 well and good battery life.

I just purchased a Strikefire 2 to install on my Angstadt Udp-9. I opted to go with the co-witness mount rather than the 1/3 mount that shipped with it. Both look to be very well made and I like that Vortex has an unconditional lifetime warranty
