I have been aware of a custom stock builder out of Ukraine, called Craftsman Vit for some time now. I liked the look of his stuff and I am aware of at least one person on this site that owns one. That said I was a little leery of the builder being so far away and a relative unknown and I REALLY like my Corcoran stuff, but I got some Christmas money, and he takes Discover so worst case scenario I dispute the charges, no harm no foul on my end so I place an order on Christmas night 2023. Communication was excellent, tracking info was on point and I received the stock today 1/11/2024. Not bad for being shipped from a war zone.

So on to my thoughts, which spoiler alert, I like the stock very very much.

The stock came double boxed, packed tight and generously padded. I was very impressed with the packing. Stock was in perfect shape.

Supplied with the stock is one bolt/washer and allen wrench used for the attachment of the stock to an HW77k/97k. These items were well packed as well and were not allowed to bounce around hitting the stock. As I have said I am very happy with the packing.

I was worried the stock might feel cheaply made or fragile, That couldn't be further from the truth. The stock is made extremely well, feels robust and balances wonderfully. It has an adjustable comb and butt plate and the hardware/adjustments for these are excellent. The stock from stem to stern is a nice piece of kit. Installation/inletting etc. were all absolutely drop in perfect. No issues at all dropping my HW77K action into this stock.

I have always liked the blue and gray laminate look and had toyed around with tracking down a stock from the special edition HW97K to go with mine or possibly have Steve Corcoran see if he could make one for me but all in all I am super happy with my choice of this Craftsman Vit stock. The color is a bit darker and makes nice contrast to my 97K special edition. I like the stylistic details on the Craftsman Vit stock as well.

So every thing is all good but on to my final concern. Will it shoot? I am always a little leary of messing with rifles and especially spring air rifles as they can be temperamental mistresses. Combine this with the fact that the Craftsman Vit only uses one rear screw as you no longer use the HW trigger guard and I was a bit nervous it would screw up the harmonics of the gun, again I am very happy to say I was wrong. The gun feels great and seems to shoot perfectly fine, at least for my meager skills.

So all in all for $499 bucks shipped/out the door I am extremely happy with the workmanship, buying process, shipping and actual use of the product. In today's world its actually kind of nice to be completely satisfied with something and exceedingly rare these days. While $500 bucks ain't chump change by any stretch of the imagination I think it is a very fair price for the product and service that came along with it. There isn't a whole lot of info out there about these stocks so I just wanted to provide a data point for anybody who might be on the fence.

As always, Take Care, Shoot Safe, Don't Shoot Your Eye Out Kid

VERY Nice! Cool

Now on to why I'm in here...I have NO idea what a HW77K is, and I'm most of the way through my first cup of coffee here. So while my brain is coming up to temperature and knowing your wit/writing style for some reason I read 'Air Gunner' and was thinking (musing?) shotgun...Like perhaps a new stock for a bird gun for hunting, or maybe a trap/skeet gun. Weird how the mind works isn't it... Wink

Looks fantastic.
Googled the model & that's a big upgrade from what looks like a fairly bland OE stock, at least from the first link I clicked.
