There are a large number of other widely-produced rifle designs with floating firing pins (including the ubiquitous AR15s, AK47s, FALs, M1s, and M14s, and even the 870/1100/1187 shotguns), and people aren't rushing out in droves to "upgrade" all those "dangerous" firing pins on any of
those guns.
But if giving Mr. Murray $50 for his replacement firing pin makes you feel better, then I guess one could view it as relatively cheap insurance against a rare - but not impossible - malfunction. (Though it thereby introduces a source of another potential malfunction if the new firing pin spring were to break and impede proper firing pin travel.)
Personally, I don't bother.
