Anyone have one? If so, how do you like it? It's pricey but I got a good deal on one if the order gets fulfilled (backordered). I already have several shotguns including 2 Shockwaves for some HD duty but always wanted a Tac-13.

From reviews, it won't cycle with mini shells but I'll keep it loaded up with some LE132-00. Looking for a good side saddle too. Outside of that and maybe a rail on top of the receiver, that's all that I may do with it. I'll put a light on the barrel/forward rail and maybe a CT CMR-206 green laser on the top rail. I haven't seen a jumbo safety for it yet but that might be good too. Will the 870 offerings work?

I've got a Tac-13 and I love it. I haven't shot any mini loads, but I have shot lots of standard load birdshot and 00 buckshot and it has handled it all. I've never had a failure.

It's one of the most fun little shotguns that I've ever seen. Recoil is less than what you would expect.

Check out GG&G for Tac 13 accessories. I've installed their top rail for a red dot, their side rail for a light and laser combo, and their enhanced charging handle. They also have a jumbo bolt release pad that you'll like. All of their accessories are made in the US and are well built.

I have one of those. They're neat little shotguns. You probably already know this, but it has a dual piston system, kinda like the Benelli ARGO. I has been very reliable, and hasn't choked on anything.

I've shot 2 3/4" shells and even a few 3" out of it. The 3" were unpleasant. I have #4 buck in ESSTAC cards with hook & loop attachment to the left side of the receiver. I placed an offset light on the left side of the barrel clamp, using a reversed GG&G cantilever rail, and an 45 deg offset mount for my light.

I cut some slots into the handguard to move the strap forward a bit (so I can reach the light mount), and used an Aridus Industries Comp RMR mount for a dot. I haven't tried installing a jumbo safety, so I can't help you there.

Thanks for the excellent input,

Yes, I have some GG&G accessories for my other shotguns...good stuff. I thought the Tac-13 already came with a front/side/barrel rail? If so, is that good for the light? I was going to put the CT green laser on a top rail I'd add. An enhanced charging handle and jumbo bolt release sound like good mods too. On my other shotguns I like the bigger safety. Does the Tac-13 use 870/1100 parts for that and some of the other receiver? That would expand my options. I already have some extra Esstac velcro side saddle I could use too.

It does look more soft shooting than my Shockwaves:

Yes, it comes with a barrel clamp and both a small section of 1913 rail, as well as a sling stud. They can be swapped to either side.

Guys - Sorry to have to ask. This is a question that I could not find a clear answer under google…..

Can one legally change out the current grip unit on the Tac-13 to a stabilization unit? I know the laws related to AR’s on this but I did. Ot know if this weapon fell under that same sets of regulations…Thanks in advance for your feedback to my question.

Wasabi,
The V3's are said to be very light recoiling guns, and people seem to like them. The only negative I'm aware of is some discussion about bolt carrier cam pin and slot wear. Some shooters have reported the cam pin (which is just fitted in the carrier) may wear prematurely of even break with a relatively few rounds. Also, parts may not be readily available. Might peruse some of the shotgun forums to see what I'm describing.
