Went to a new LGS today. I've been divided between an 870, and a 500.

They had a Mossberg 500 Persuader, 18.5 barrel, 5+1, synthetic stocks and parkerized finish.

Pretty much exactly what I was looking for. Also came with a pistol grip, but doubtful I'll ever use it, unless it ends up as a trunk gun, or if I ever buy a sailboat. LOL.

Probably the only mod I'll do is a side saddle on the stock, and a sling.

Looking online, I paid less than what I expected. $350. It's a very solid shotgun.
