The MRO has interested me for a while and with the Patrol model being released prices on the original seem to be coming down. So I’ve been patiently waiting for prices to find the bottom and then I run into a MRO Patrol for $459. Am I missing something or is this a great deal? Granted it’s not the fanciest mount but even if it was no mount the price seems good still.

Good deal.
Best I have seen for the standard MRO is about $400 with a mount.

Not the best mount but I have a similar SLR Rifleworks Mount and it has been rock solid and held zero for years.
I have no need for a QD Mount so no need for the added expense in my book.

Shop around a little bit this Memorial Day weekend. At least one place (Optics Planet; drop shippers but they've been good to me so far) is offering a 10% discount that takes the base price for an MRO (without base) down to about $387.

I bit because it seemed like a good deal to me. The photo on the site shows the Patrol model with lens caps and killflash, which the original MRO doesn’t come with. When comparing prices, make sure you’re looking at the MRO Patrol, not the base MRO.

I went ahead and grabbed one. Price seems too good to be the Patrol but AIM hasn’t failed me yet. Thanks for the input.

Got mine today. Definitely the MRO patrol as advertised. May take the killflash off as it darkens the sight picture. The lens cover still works with the killflash adapter removed.

Received mine yesterday and as stated definitely the Patrol model. Mounts not bad once on but it must be slid on the top rail from the end. And the mounting screws are a little awkward to get at. Hope to get it zeroed soon.
