I've seen them on the Youtubez, but don't know the brand(s). Who makes them?

Anyone tried them?

Magpod

http://mag-pod.com/

I have not used them, but I have heard nothing negative.

Edit;
Not sure why their website still says "coming soon", they're available on Brownells and a few other sites

When I was still shooting matches I would use a Brownells mag coupler as I nice wide base to pod off of. (sometimes not even loading the second mag other than a couple rounds for show. lol)

That devices above is to give you two point of contact with the ground. But won't it only work if your target is at the right height? Shooting up or down hill, you're going to be back to only touching on the front or back no?

I believe using a magazine as a shooting support is a “works sometimes” aid. That’s also true, for example, for the spring-loaded bipods in some foregrips. But then nothing works under all conditions, not even a conventional bipod. If someone were shooting up/down hill using a sling for support, or just shooting from the prone with no support other than his arms, he’d have to modify his body position to compensate. If the magazine is used, the shooter must adjust the stock position against his shoulder and stock (cheek) weld as necessary. If too much adjustment is necessary, then it might not be possible to use the magazine for support, but I find the technique to be valuable when it’s possible.
