I'm currently down to one AR15 in 5.56 and one in .22LR. I can't make up my mind what to get next.

Honestly, the Ruger PC and the DD PCC are two very different guns, especially from a price perspective. The Ruger is a lot cheaper, uses Glock or Ruger mags, and has a pic rail rear so you can use a folding stock. The DD costs about twice as much, takes reliable and cheap CZ scorpion mags, takes AR components so you can upgrade it, but has a buffer tube, so you’re pretty much limited to fixed or collapsible stocks. What’s important to you?

Are both self defense kind of reliable?

Both SHOULD be, but YMMV and for that kind of thing, I would go DD.

I really really really like my AR-9. It does not have the nerderiffic roller delayed action like the MP5 or Stribog, but it is VERY accurate and VERY easy to shoot.

Taking AR mods does make it a bit of a money sink, but you end up with something much more refined than the Ruger could ever be, and I like Rugers generally.

The DD at almost $2000.00 for the SBR it is a little salty.

Gun deals shows $1600 for the pistol with brace and $1700 for the SBR. But, it is Daniel Defense, so you have to expect the price to be a bit salty.

Can’t hurt. But there is no guarantee that it will be on sale on BF. On the plus side, it’s not likely to be more expensive.

What suppressor did you get? I found the DD a bit gassy and the recoil noticeable, which isn’t too surprising since it’s direct blowback. I only use it with a low backpressure suppressor and ended up going to an A5 buffer tube and added a 2.5oz Kynshot spacer. I had previously tried a Maxim RDB buffer, and while it worked well for gas and recoil, the force required to manually operate the charging handle was pretty stiff. The small charging handle, which is proprietary, didn’t help. My experience in this thread.
