Does anyone make a LPK without a trigger group? I have two lowers that I'd like to build, but I have triggers for both of them already, and don't really feel like buying parts I don't need. Second question is, if no one sells such a kit, who should I buy the LPK from? Is PSA the best source? Someone else? Thanks very much. PSA has several: https://palmettostatearmory.co...e-control-group.html https://palmettostatearmory.co...ntrol-group-fde.html https://palmettostatearmory.co...ntrol-group-odg.html When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are undisturbed. Aero Precision offers that option, but leaves out pistol grips and trigger guards as well (available separately). http://www.aeroprecisionusa.com/ar15-lpk-minus Armalite does the same, but includes the trigger guard. http://www.armalite.com/produc...m15-lower-parts-kit/ You might check out Ranier Arms as well, just to see what's available - at a quick glance, they seem to offer that option from JP Arms, Stag and CMC. http://www.rainierarms.com/nsearch/?q=lower+parts+kit As for who to buy it from, that I don't know - or know if it matters. I always bought LPKs made by the same folks who made the lower on the theory that "their" kits oughtta fit and work in "their" lowers. Unfortunately I don't know enough to be able to tell you if certain kits work better or worse with the triggers you've already got.

I get the Aero Precision ones from Schuyler Arms, they run about $20. They even include a small set screw if your receiver is tapped for one (rear takedown spring/detent. _____________________________________________ Welcome to Idaho, now take a wolf and go home!

they are everywhere. recently I've been using the Geissle one, but you have to get it onsale to have it make sense. FWIW the DPMS ones I've used have been fine as well. “So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong, and strike at what is weak.”

I buy Spikes from AIM for $40 with trigger. They appear to be out of stock. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. I will be your brother, and I'll hold your hand. You should know I'll be there for you!

Thanks very much. I confess that my google-fu has failed me. I appreciate the help. A "I vowed to myself to fight against evil more completely and more wholeheartedly than I ever did before. . . . S&W makes one that is without a trigger, grip, or finger guard. It comes in a nice little clam shell and every blister section calls out the part. I found it very helpful for a first time build. -Jeff

striker1 recommended Tom's Tactical in a thread I started. BBH mentioned it also. I could not be happier. $30. Quality USA product, great price and great service. "Practice like you want to play in the game"

ALG Defense does, but they also offer them with their ACT trigger which is my favorite budget trigger. Do not send me to a heaven where there are no dogs. Step Up or Stand Aside: Support the Troops ! Expectations are premeditated disappointments.

Best quality one I've found is from CMMG. They do shiny hard black finish like QPQ or melonite which makes the parts feel better when used vs. whatever standard finish is that's porous. About $40-45 for an LPK with no trigger. I've started going back through older rifles and swapping the CMMG parts in because they just feel better.
