I know many of us live in states that have Academy Sports & Outdoors. Academy posted a Hot Deal today, 250-round bulk boxes of brass 9mm 115gr FMJ for $49.99.

https://www.academy.com/p/mona...mmunition-250-rounds

Monarch is their house brand. I've shot a lot of their brass 9mm w/o any problems. Most of it was made by PPU in Serbia. For a while during pandemic, they switched to Armscor of the Philippines. Currently, it's made in Brazil by Magtech.

If Academy has a store in your state, you have to pay sales tax. If you don't live in certain ban-states, they will ship to you.

Thanks! I am well stocked, but couldn't pass up this opportunity. I have an Academy credit card, which gives me an extra 5% off, which is about half of the sales tax here. So it netted to .21/round for me, all in.

Picked it up today, and mine says made in Brazil. If it's made by Magtech I'm good with that, as I've shot a lot of that with no issues.

Get it while it lasts!

Same weblink listed in the first post.

Edited to add: Academy has a promotion where military (AD/retired/veterans) and first responders get 10% off through July 6th. This is a rare discount where sale items, firearms, & ammo are included. If the discount doesn't work online, it should in-person in-store.

That is a great price on the ammo. But we dont have any of their local store near me. And they will not ship. I wish there is a shop near our place.

Do you live in Nevada? NV is not on their list of restricted states for ammo shipments.

I do. But their site says Home Delivery is Out of Stock. Really good price for those who live near one of their stores and don't need to pay shipment.

Academy must be prioritizing in-store purchase/pick up, b/c the stores I went to have been very well stocked.

FYI - the first responder code didn't work and during checkout for delivery, it said it's not valid for this deal..

This 20 cents per round Hot Deal is live again. Smile
For how long, I have know idea.

Same weblink listed in the first post.

Beware that Academy has recently switched up manufacturers again, so if you buy in person and check COO, "Made in Brazil" means it's Magtech. "Made in Turkey" means it's BPS or ZSR.

All the 9mm 124gr Monarch appears to be made in Turkey.
All the 9mm 115gr zinc-plated steel case Monarch is made by Magtech.

If you are LE/first responder/Mil/veteran and shop in-person, I hear some stores may give you 10% off if you ask nicely. Might be luck of the draw on your cashier.

Thank you ,,, just picked up 500 in person.

Made in Turkey so I want to see if it's able to choke the P365 or 320. Nothing has yet.

Thanks for the heads up- I decided to add to my stash. I have an Academy online account (MyAcademy), and they have a promotion where they email you a $20 e-gift card if you buy $100 in ammo through your MyAcademy account.

Since the special is $49.99, two boxes doesn’t hit $100, but adding a single box of 9mm for $13, or a small box of .22- anything to get it over $100 yields a $20 gift card.

And that’s just a registration account- not a credit card account. Although if you use their store credit card you get an extra 5% off.

You can order online and pick up in store. Don’t get the $20 gift card for an in store purchase.

Tried but they do not ship to Kansas. I have never had that happen in the past.

"AP, AK, CT, CA, DE, DC, HI, MA, NJ, NY, OH, AE, IL, AA, KS, RI, WA"

I have no idea why KS is on their restriction list, and I don't know of any other ammo sellers who refuse to ship to KS. The rest I understand.

If you’re responding to me, it doesn’t have to be shipped. Sign up for a MyAcademy account, and you can order it online, but pick it up n the store.

You guys getting hosed by their shipping restrictions might take a look at True Shot. Magtech 115gr (same stuff as the Academy 115gr round) for the same price for a thousand, $.20/rd and $.22/rd for 500.

That Magtech is steel cased. Not the same product and not the same value.

I'm just going off this, y'all can decide whether some cheap 115gr ammo is the same value with different headstamps and plating on it or not.
