Freedom Munitions is offering free shipping on orders $200 - $2000 until the end of the month. This 7.62 SMK BTHP ammo is listed as service grade for long rang competition. I expect but can't confirm from the website that this is Lake City manufactured (heavier walled brass). Sale price is $23.25/box of 20 rounds $1.1625 per round shipped, before taxes https://www.freedommunitions.c...-detail.html#reviews ______________________________________________________________ Common sense is no longer simply uncommon. That would normally be an excellent price these days, but I wonder what “service grade” means in reference to that ammunition. Good or bad it wouldn’t matter if it were some sort of FMJ 9mm, but if it’s being purchased for precision rifle use—? ► 6.4/93.6 ___________ “We are Americans …. I was curious about this too. This article summary says M118 is a match ammunition designation for 7.62 cal. Other articles say that "service grade" is related to higher quality and reliability standards for military and LE use. And certainly a 175 gr. SMK HPBT bullet is match grade. So it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and I guess we'll see the performance when it quacks to determine if it is a duck. https://www.ammunitiontogo.com...y-ammo-designations/ ______________________________________________________________ Common sense is no longer simply uncommon.
