Academy STILL has Federal Champion and American Eagle at $2.49/bx with free shipping for orders over $25. All rimfire:

I'm good for 22LR, but I did order some XTP in 380 and 9 and got the free shipping.

MidwayUSA has apparently removed all quantity limits from in stock 22 LR since the election.

I went into our local Dunham's yesterday...they had large selection of .22LR on the shelves Federal, Remington GB, Winchester plus the high dollar stuff...no three box limit...

Prices have not dropped though...

I was told there was plenty more coming and wait for "Black Friday" sales.

Been plenty available around here for quite a while now but at least 8 cents a round. I don't think we will ever see the widely available 3 cents a round like we had in 2012 ever again but hope I am wrong. Glad I stocked up on Federal 525 bulk packs back then.

On other gun forums I peruse I am reading reports of the sudden availability of .22LR in quantities not seen in the last eight years.

One person even posted a picture taken at their local big box sporting goods store.

That is a quantity I've not seen in the last eight years.

I'm not complaining, but what the heck is going on? People are speculating manufacturers, distributors, and large retail stores were holding back inventory in hopes of making a killing when the President-elect was not Mr. Trump.

In your locale are you suddenly seeing a spike in the supply of .22LR?

Yes, here in Oregon it is in all the stores, although not at great prices for CCI 69.00 for a thousand. 2.89 for 50. But it is still on the shelf since black Friday, not going out the door as soon as it hits the shelf.

I scored some .22LR at local Walmart last week. First time I've seen any in years. I picked up my 3 box of 100 limit at $7/ea.

We have seen tons of .22 here for going on 6 months now.
Mainly Federal Automatch for $23 for 325 rounds. Before the drop I was buying CCI Blazer for $18 per 500 brick (not the loose bulk pack).

My local Wal Mart has had some off and on for several months now. Been able to pick Federal 555 packs for $28.99, that makes .0522 cents per round. Still a limit of 3 boxes.

FYI:
In areas where you find Academy Sports located they have Federal 40 gr. target (1200 fps) and Winchester-Western 36 gr. (1280 fps) in-stock. Federal is $18.99 for 325 rounds (.062/rnd) and W-W is $28.99 for 525 rounds (.059/rnd).

Currently if you order on-line, there is no shipping charges added on either, at least for the Central Florida area - it might depend on where the warehouse is located.

SIXTY EIGHT BUCKS A THOUSAND.

Now I know why I haven't even bothered looking for .22 in years.

What a joke.

Welcome to the new norm!!!!
Best price I have seen anything decent on a brick of 500 was $30 for a brick of Federal American Eagle.
Before the crunch I was buying Blazer for $18 a brick all day long.
Federal Automatch seems to be the cheapest currently at $21 per 350 but that is still $30 if the brick was 500 vs. 350.

I doubt we'll see a brick of 500 for under $20 again. Prices are coming down a bit. SG Ammo just had a close out of a bunch of .22 but still not crazy cheap like it used to be.

Our local Walmart still has Winchester M-22 1000 round bulk packs for $50.47...they sell out pretty quick and you just have to be there at the right time...but it is coming into the store more regularly...

My favorite LGS is finally getting and keeping a good selection of .22LR...a 500 round bulk pack of Federal 510 is $30.00...CCI Minimags, Remington GB and Winchester Super X are $10.00 per 100...

In a nutshell...IMHO the prices we are seeing now probably will be the prices in the future...bulk at $.05-.06 per round...

Just happy to see stocks back up at non gouge prices (maybe not as low as they used to be but it tolerable).

68 bucks a thousand for cci is a good deal actually- would be happy to find that in my neck of the woods. Getting down to under 2000 rounds in my stash ( I am a bit of a cci snob) but may have to break down and start shooting other brands. I have never had a domestic brand that performed as good as cci however
