I am just coming back to the forum after a long absence and was trying to get all of my profile information updated before I started posting again. For some reason, no matter what I try I can't set my custom avatar. It keeps telling me that the file is not accessible. I've even tried multiple other hosting sites with no luck.

It's a known issue with the forum software. Email me the link to your new avatar. I'll see what I can do.
