how do i update and repost my old ad in classifieds?

Since your thread is still open, you can make edits.

Lower right had side of your original post are three icons, the yellow "pencil" is the one you click on to edit your post(s). It is only visible/available for the person who created the post.

Edit as you wish, and you can also edit the original subject line, then "post" when your done.

If the ad is too old and has been locked (or auto-pruned), just start a new ad.
If not, then just edit it to add new stuff for sale or whatever. The Edit icon (that pencil eraser head) is at the bottom right corner of your post.
