I have received 2 emails from a Scott Noris claiming to be a member here. The first referenced a discussion that I had posted on and he had a question about my time on the WPD and if I knew a former Chief of Police there. Since he had my email and referenced info from the post I responded briefly.

I have since received a second email asking again how well I knew the Chief. I tried searching under the members name "Scott Noris" which is how it is spelled in his email, and did not find any postings under that name. He claims he is from Dallas, TX and was on the police department there. I just need to confirm if this is a legitimate member before I respond a second time.

Yes, there is an active member here with that name, although that's not his user name. He logged into the forum today.

For future reference, things such as this would be better handled via email.

Members contacting other members out of the blue, for the first time, should always disclose their forum handle. I don't understand why some don't.
