Background:
I dimly recall that the old thread was lost by accident but I am not positive of that.

I discovered partly accidentally (clicking on a bookmark on an old system, then entering that into the Wayback Machine) that some few of the meme picture files from that original lost thread may be recoverable/active. Not only does the Wayback machine have the SIGforum post content, but also some of the picture files referenced back then.

It should be possible to manually go through what the Wayback machine has and re-post some of those.

Question:
The post here is to see what your thoughts might be on the concept and - if you thought it worthwhile/permissible - how to go about that (i.e., in a separate thread, put them in the mix of the current thread, or?) and who you'd want to do it. (It would take time but isn't all that tricky - if you'd prefer someone else to start the thread and/or to post the recovered stuff I could get them up to speed pretty readily.)

I wouldn't be doing it, and I cannpt grant edit permissions to a designated member for a single thread. I would have to great edit permissions to a member for everything in the Lounge, and that's not something I'm willing to risk.

You could post them to a separate thread if you like, but I don't want to have a second thread that members would post to, which means the thread would have to be locked, and featured, and that's not going to happen, either.
