Ok, so I had that checked on some threads. Well lets just say I wanted it to STOP! So I went and turned the notifications off. Well at least I thought I did. Like a bad social disease they just keep coming back. How do I stop them for good? Do I just wait for the threads to die on their own?

Appears to have worked for me, at least those notifications are gone from the list.
