Users have the option to delete their own posts.

Try this:
Look up the post you want to remove. At the lower right corner, you should see three small icons. The one in the middle, if you mouse over it, will show "Edit or Delete Message." Click it.

Look in the dialog box that shows up, and to the left of the Post Now button there's a link labeled "Delete Message...?" Click that and you'll get another button to click if you're sure you want to delete it. In the words of Dana Carvey's Church Lady, "Hit it, Pearl!"
