yesterday morning I got on the forum and there was no picture in the avatar space, then around noon or so, the grinch showed up in the avatar space,
I did not put him there, don't know how he got there.
This morning there was no grinch anywhere, ( like its supposed to be)
now its afternoon here, and the grinch is up once again.
any clue as to why this is happening?

(I do not currently see it, just a blank space where it should be)

If you found it via a Google Images (or similar) search, then it is possible whomever was hosting the image, no longer is.
SigForum does not host images.

newtoSig765Bendable, I've gotta tell you I've never seen an actual picture as your avatar. It's always been an "x" with "Picture of bendable" next to it, and I thought it was just your wry humor.
I guess I have something to look forward to, if you can fix it!

Patrick-SP2022I'm not seeing your avatar and this is why.
The image is not being hosted on a photo hosting site like Photobucket.
The site where that image lives, doesn't allow linking to images there and will return a message like "Referral Denied
You don't have permission to access "http://ia.media-imdb.com/images/..." on this server."
This is better than returning a naughty picture.
Changing your avatar to one on a phot hosting site will fix the problem.
