Welcome to our first three-day Applied Fundamentals CARBINE class!

If you’re an intermediate shooter, competitor, or law enforcement officer looking to improve your rifle skills at speed, the three-day Applied Fundamentals Carbine class is the accelerated program for you. The class focuses on mental planning as a method to run your carbine at speed in a variety of conditions.

Click here to register and get your deposit in today!

You’ll be shooting approximately 1,300 to 1,500 rounds during the intensive three-day program. This is not a course for a beginner.

The goal of Applied Fundamentals Carbine is to take the building blocks shooters have learned in Practical Fundamentals or other trigger control-based programs and learn to apply those skills methodically to solve shooting problems.

Too often, shooters have mental knowledge and physical skill sets that they struggle to demonstrate or employ under stress, or, when presented with unfamiliar shooting scenarios, they “fail to perform.” This program addresses this issue directly.

Shooters will be exposed to an intensive, highly focused series of exercises with very specific goal sets. Applied Rifles’ one-on-one instructor-student structure allows our instructional staff to systematically address shooter’s physical (weapons handling) deficiencies and overcome the mental obstacles within their paths.

Instructors*: HR Hawkins & Jerry Jones

When: May 17 - 19, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day

Class size: Limited to 16 students.

Tuition: $675, with a $225 deposit

Range Fees: $60, to be paid in cash at orientation

Local Host: Jerry Jones

Ammunition: Round count for Applied Fundamentals Carbine will be approximately 1,300 to 1,500 rounds

Important Links and Information

* Instructors listed for specific programs have committed to teach the class on those dates. Although we do not anticipate changes, travel delays, family emergencies or illness may result in instructor substitutions.

Where:
Paducah, Kentucky
Details will be sent to students upon registration.

Where to Stay
Our host hotel is the La Quinta Inn & Suites, located at 3960 Coleman Crossing Circle in Paducah. The hotel offers a 15% discount to students taking a class with us. To receive the discount, please call the hotel direct at (270) 443-4800 and mention you are taking a class with OpSpec Training. Ensure you book early, as discounted room availability may be limited.

The property was built in 2015 and is located less than 10 minutes from the range. Hotel amenities include free high-speed Internet access, free “Bright Side” breakfast, an indoor pool and spa. Trip Advisor reviews are positive, but do note La Quinta does welcome pets to their hotels.

Food at Lunch Break
To ensure you get the most “bang for your buck” we try to keep lunch breaks as short as possible. If you have the ability to bring your lunch, we suggest you do so. If you need to run out and get a quick meal, there are options in the area. Fast food restaurants (McDonald’s, Subway, KFC, Wendy’s) are located nearby.

Evil exists. You can not negotiate with, bribe or placate evil. You're not going to be able to have it sit down with Dr. Phil for an anger management session either.

Hmm. Title says Practical Fundamentals Carbine. The first paragraph says Applied Fundamentals, and says it's for those "looking to improve your pistol skills at speed".

Do you have a PF-Carbine? That would be cool.

The typos have been fixed. And yes, we have both a Practical Fundamentals Carbine (Rifle) as well as a new Applied Fundamentals Carbine.
