I need an OWB dual mag carrier for HK P30 / VP9 magazines to use in upcoming classes and possibly IDPA. Some of the popular brand names out there aren't made for HK.

~$50 or less.

Recommendations?

Thanks.

Maybe HSGI Tacos? Not as fast as a competition mag pouch but will fit. http://www.highspeedgear.com/11PT02.html#description

This is what I use for my P30L mags - using it today as a matter of fact in an IDPA match.

Comp-Tac

Either 2x single carriers: http://www.comp-tac.com/magazi...ouch-belt-clip-10621

Single carriers are also available with Tek-Loks if you want something even more secure: http://www.comp-tac.com/magazi...ngle-mag-pouch-10622

Or a dual carrier: http://www.comp-tac.com/magazi...magazine-pouch-10623

You asked about double carriers, but if you would consider singles, these folks make carriers pretty similar to the nice ones that SigMadMan used to make and sell here on the forum.

I prefer these to dual types. These take up minimal real estate on your belt and are good for carry, as well as training and range.

The price is right, too.

+1. I use them for EDC, and for USPSA and IDPA.

What holster are you using? Just curious as I have a VP9 and hope to shoot it in IDPA this summer.

I have a RCS Phanton for the P30, though I don't believe RCS makes them any longer.

I'll check out the above. Kytex looks cool, is economical and modular so I may go that route.

I will also recommend the Comp Tac single mag carriers - my EDC extra mag pouch (same for my wife). I add a second one when I want to shoot IDPA etc...

I also like singles. I like the CompTac stuff but I’m going to try the Ghost Hybrids.

I just ordered a CompTac holster and Ghost mag pouches from the above vendor.

I just recently bought a double with a Tek Lok from Ozarks Holster and it's real nice. I have a couple of range holsters from them as well.

Dustin does fine work and is a member here!

They have HK available.

I’m really liking the Ghost mag carriers. Fit my CZ mags well and by removing a tension strut they can fit the Glock mags too.

I also have a couple items from Dustin to include a dual mag pouch and holster for the Shield. Very nice. For me this model I have, the mag pouches are better for suited for CCW but worked pretty well at the range for a small gun match.

This is way late reply, but I wanted to throw in the Safariland 079 series. I have multiples for Glocks and SIGs. I've EDC two spares in a Safariland 079 for years. The snaps are easy on and off and the STX/STX Tactical finishes are tough.

I prefer the singles as well, but Safariland has you covered both ways with excellent products at reasonable prices.

For a double, the Safariland Model 73. They don't llst the P30/VP9 specifically under H&K models, but one of the others would probably work, or one of the other brands with similar mags. The unit is adjustable for tension, and accommodates some difference in thickness.

I prefer the singles, the Safariland Model 771 open front. Likewise as above with gun models. The singles give me more options with positioning. The thing I like especially about this pouch is that it has an open front (not as wide an opening as the mag is thick, but it opens up when you pull a mag at a forward angle, rather than straight up, and makes for easier grabbing. Again, adjustable for tension on the mag. Both models meet IDPA specs.

I use the ghost pouches for dang near every thing, but they’re problematic for idpa due to the no double belt rule. You basically need a teklock or sliding mount of some sort.
