OpSpec Training heads back to the indoor ranges at Front Range Gun Club in Loveland, Colorado for a special two-day Applied Fundamentals class on Feb. 9 & 10. The Front Range Gun Club has a very active class schedule, and they also host shooting leagues including USPSA-style matches on a regular basis. We do expect this class will sell out.

This is a condensed two-day format, open only to students who have completed our Practical Fundamentals program since Feb. 2018. (Contact us if you'd like to discuss a waiver, made available on a case-by-case basis.)

If you have not yet taken Practical Fundamentals, you can enroll in the program on Feb. 7 & 8 at the same facility.

Along with making a deposit or paying for the class in full, ensure you register for the course. Learn more about the Applied Fundamentals class right here.

READ THE CLASS TESTIMONIALS

The goal of Applied Fundamentals is to take the building blocks shooters have learned in Practical Fundamentals or other trigger control-based programs and learn to apply those skills methodically to solve shooting problems.

Too often, shooters have mental knowledge and physical skill sets that they struggle to demonstrate or employ under stress, or, when presented with unfamiliar shooting scenarios, they “fail to perform.” This program addresses this issue directly.

You’ll be shooting approximately 800 to 1,000 rounds during the intensive two-day program. This is not a course for a beginner.

Prerequisites
Suitable for the intermediate to advanced competitive shooters or armed professionals, Applied Fundamentals does have prerequisites. This is a condensed two-day format of our Applied Fundamentals class. As a result, the program is open only to students who have taken OpSpec Training’s Practical Fundamentals since Feb. 2018.

If you’ve taken a 16-hour class exclusively focused on trigger control from an other instructor, please contact us to see if the program you took qualifies you for this class. Reviews will be completed on a case-by-case basis.

Instructors*: HR Hawkins

When: Feb. 9 & 10, 2020 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day

Class size: Minimum of 12 and maximum of 14 students

Tuition: $450

Range Fees: $40, to be paid in cash directly to the range on the morning of Feb. 9.

Ammunition: About 1,000 rounds.

Important Links and Information

* Instructors listed for specific programs have committed to teach the class on those dates. Although we do not anticipate changes, travel delays, family emergencies or illness may result in instructor substitutions.

Where:

Where to Stay
There is a Quality Inn located a few minutes north of the facility on East Eisenhower Blvd. There is also a Hampton Inn about 10 minutes to the east near the intersection of East Eisenhower Blvd. and I-25. There are many other options available in the immediate area. If you’re flying or driving in, there are also plenty of dinner options in the area. Other than the drive up from the airport, this location might offer the best selection of hotels and dining options we’ve ever been able to offer.

Food at Lunch Break
To ensure you get the most “bang for your buck” we keep lunch breaks to one hour. If you have the ability to bring your lunch, you may do so. If you need to run out and get a quick meal, there is a Chick-fil-A located about 10 minutes east of the range. There are at least three McDonald’s within 10 minutes of the range.

Evil exists. You can not negotiate with, bribe or placate evil. You're not going to be able to have it sit down with Dr. Phil for an anger management session either.

So we have some enrolled and more space is available. Since this is an indoor class, enrollment will be limited. Last year sold out early so if you're interested we'd suggest registering soon!
