With the strong success for the MOAC Pistol class during the last three years, the obvious question was brought up during a recent class. “When is MOAC-R?” After about a month of planning, we’ve got our inaugural MOAC Rifle class scheduled for Oct. 18-21, 2018 in Paducah, Kentucky.

For full details on this class, click here.

MOAC–R is a four day, 32-hour rifle course built upon the same winning concepts as MOAC (Pistol). MOAC–R is a high round count 5.56mm carbine course designed to take the intermediate shooter and provide them with the tools to become an advanced or expert shooter. OpSpec Training alumni frequently request a long-duration program – building upon our pistol MOAC course – designed to enforce and develop persistent, durable skills. MOAC develops these skills through repetition and process oriented marksmanship.

You’ll be shooting approximately 3,000 rounds during the intensive four-day program. This is not a course for a beginner.

Instructors*: Jerry Jones

When: Oct. 18-21, 2018, with exact times to be determined.

Class size: We will ensure an excellent student to instructor ratio. We do need a minimum number of students to run the class

Tuition: $900, with a $225 deposit. There is a payment schedule for this class.

Range Fees: $80

Local Host: Jerry Jones

Ammunition: Approximately 3,000 rounds for your rifle, and 200 for your pistol

Again, click here to register, make your deposit or get additional information.

Evil exists. You can not negotiate with, bribe or placate evil. You're not going to be able to have it sit down with Dr. Phil for an anger management session either.

So, how about a hint every now and then about the evil being created for this class?

Every day we get a little closer. Was really hoping some of the attendees might start popping up in the thread.

We are almost done with the world's slowest move. I have to get hardcore over the next 3-4 weeks to get the old place ready to sell. After that, I've identified where the new range is going. It will take a couple of weekends to get the initial section set up. In the meantime dry fire dry fire dry fire.

Hopefully I will redeem myself in this MOAC...

With respect to today, I thought it appropriate to detail strip my primary carbine. She's clean, oiled, and ready to rock.

I suspect that this will be like most of the other threads. People can read it well, but they don't know what they are getting until they get there. And then there is that nervous laugh......

Ordered ammo for the class last night. It has already shipped...

The excitement builds.

About 30 days out I will start watching all the classics.

Die Hard, Bad Boys, Red Dawn (yes, the original), John Wick etc... It is important to be up to speed on that stuff so you can concentrate on the class and not try to figure out the language.

You should add Top Gun, Step Brothers and anything with Arnold in it.

Maybe we should get a list submitted to OpSpec under the course requirements. I think I'm good on Top Gun. I watched it twice in the last 4 weeks.

Step Brothers... It has been a while.

What is the consensus on The Blues Brothers?

Anything with Arnold: Does that include Kindergarten Cop?

EVERYTHING in the Arnold library counts.
