I could use some help determining the price of a nearly new SIG P-238 with sig red laser. Serial number begins with 27A0xxxxx. Has had five magazines fired through it for function testing. The only wear seems to be on a grip screw from being placed on the headboard. I am asking here because online info is scarce. Thanks.

My LGS sold one for me on consignment a couple months ago for $540 in the factory box, papers and 4 mags. It was "as new".

thanks for the responses. I had a gun shop in Chesterland Ohio put the above mentioned P238 on consignment yesterday. They had trouble finding a definite price, but put a $550 price on it. Since they mentioned that they may have to lower the price if it doesn't sell. That made me think,... I hope they don't try to give it away. Anything less than $450 would be unacceptable for me. Thank again. Just needed reassured, more or less.

The baby 1911 style guns quickly fell out of favor with the introduction of models such as the 365. The P238 will only appeal to a small subset of the market. The "right" buyer will have to walk into that store. With Trumpie in, the market is soft now. Good luck.
