(1) Added a RMR to a Glock in either 2016 or 2017. Need to replace my RMR and wonder has the plate that affixes to RMR constant over the years? (2) What torque level should the screws be subject to? (3) Original RMR has a yellow-orangish dot. Considering a green dot. Any downside to the green outdoors? Glock is going to be almost exclusively used in an urban suburban setting but might see a bit of woods carry. How does the green dot show on plants, leaves or other green background? The RMR footprint has not changed. Trijicon told me 11-13 inlb. I would replace the screws. I think you can only get the green dot in the 9moa dual illuminated neither of which I would recommend. I've tried the green dot MRO and don't find background to be much of an issue but I don't actually like it at all FWIW> “So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong, and strike at what is weak.”

The dual powers leave a lot to be desired both in brightness and reticle size. I don't know of anybody using one seriously. If you are looking for green, look at Holosun 407, 507C, or 508T, all of which use the RMR footprint and an LED emitter. I use green Holosun dots extensively as I have a bit of red color vision trouble and find no issue with green in any lighting condition. Torque spec for micro optics will vary a little between who you listen to, but 10-15 inlb is the common range. Manufacturers of plates, guns, and optics all have their opinions.

For real? |
I grabbed a green holosun 407 and it works fine in daylight. I might eventually approve it to use on my duty weapon. I’m currently using an RM06 in 3.25moa. Not minority enough!
