I ended up with one in the SAS style and sent that dame bright slide back to Sig to get it made black and now it is beautiful.

Just got back from the range. Everything worked perfectly. Put a new late model recoil spring in before the range trip. When I was playing around with it with an A-Zoom snap cap (with the original twisted wire recoil spring), I had to nudge it a little to completely go into battery. With the new recoil spring from Sig, I don’t have that problem.

I also wanted a two-tone 229 so I took my first SIG (2011) to Robar for their NP3 finish on the frame. Makes cleanup real easy.
