^^^Exactly, this is nothing new.

One thing that was disappointing to me was that the few US-made X-Fives I handled all had some play in the barrel-to-slide fit. I wonder if the P226X has the same "issue" as well - I still haven't seen one in person because no LGS near me has had one in stock yet.

I'm well aware, but the redesign of the hammer and trigger profiles make them look cheaper, and the hammer lighter. They're probably not...like I said it's just an impression...but I'm not in love with it.

Lighter hammer also helps the trigger pull.
