A few more observations after messing with it a bit this morning.
The tail cap is actually plastic and one does not need to remove the tailcap to remove the battery. You unscrew the lens end to access the battery. This maybe common place in the weapons light world. This is my first and all my flashlights you remove/unscrew the tailcap to access the battery so I figured the same.
The website now says only to charge the battery in the light with the charging cable. I may have missed it when I bought the light but I am not sure that bullet point was there. Though I am not sure why using a battery charger would cause issue and just swapping fresh batteries would be a problem.

The light fits and feels very solid on the Sig P320 Carry frame. It attaches solidly and the paddles function just fine. Though there is a gap between the light and the back portion of the rail. There is also a gap between the trigger guard and the back of the light. The light is still on there rock solid. I guess it is possible if you have a super short index finger this could be a problem.

And now onto the bad news. While the light will physically fit on both the FN 502 and Sig SP2022 it will not function. The paddles contact the bevels in the guns above the trigger guard. On the FN you can force the paddle forward and the light will illuminate but the paddle does not reset so you can’t turn the light off without manually forcing the paddle to reset.
The Sig SP2022 you can’t even force the paddle to engage. I tried to take pictures of where it makes contact but I just have an iPhone camera and can’t get a good close up angle to focus.

Chowser do you all get to choose your weapons and caliber or does everyone carry .357???

We only get the ol Glock 9mm. Would far prefer some others or at least a Glock in .357.

lol. long story.

We were a .40 agency when I started. S&W 4046. In 2002, we switched to gen3 Glock 22s. Some time in 2003, I started my 357SIG adventure with an HK USP C, then a Glock 32 and 33 then a P2000.

In 2007, we had two shootings with the .40s. One lady took 8 rounds before she finally fell over, all center mass, she was able to reload her shotgun before falling. Another one a guy took a round to the temple and it glanced off his skull and came out the back. He survived (and has continued to commit crimes to this day, albeit stupider crimes where he is easily caught).

So it was coming up to 10 years on our 22s and the chief at the time was like, I don't like these .40s, can we switch to .45acp like a neighboring agency? I told him we could but we would need new holsters and mag pouches and as I was tired of buying my own 357sig ammo at the time, I recommended the 31 since we could use our same holsters and mag pouches and all the extra Glock 22 mags we bought would work just fine. He asked what research I have done on the round and I said none, the Air Marshals and Secret Service use it so I'm sure they did the research. And that's the story of how I got my department to feed my 357SIG habit. We got gen3 31s and 32s in. We switched to gen4 guns in 2018. He was happy. He said he started with 357 (revolver) and he would retire with 357.

I'm guessing in 2028, if the current chief is still mandating red dots, I will switch us to Glock 45 MOS guns because everyone else is begging to go back to 9mm and with the ammo drought, it might be time. But I can leave anytime after 2023 so it won't be my problem.
