I send a Colt revolver to Frank Glenn for some work. Very fast turn-around, very fair pricing. Excellent work. If anyone needs some work done don't hesitate to call Frank Glenn. He works on 1911s, revolvers including old and new pythons, and S&Ws. I hope he is training someone as there isn't many gunsmiths for colt revolvers anymore. Colt only repairs new production. .

Sadly finding ANYONE competent to do revolver work is surprisingly difficult. Even basic stuff it is difficult to find someone both willing and able to do the work. Us revolver guys are dinosaurs I guess.

Obviously, this man specializes in 1911s, based on his website. He also works on others, including SIGs. But, I wonder what his action job for a SIG entails, where the cost is listed at only $75. Even SIG factory AEP, which is cheaper than GGI or TSA, costs $180. Q

Frank’s reputation and work quality is legend on the Colt forum. If that was one’s only exposure to the testimonials, you’d think he specializes only in revolvers. One of the few remaining craftsmen that does repair and parts fabrication. His costs are less expensive than many other Johnny-come-lately smiths I’ve encountered, and completely absent of the hype and BS associated with them.

Frank Glenn is a '60s Olympic champion shooter. He was a team member of the AZ DPS armory for years, working on issued S&W revolvers and issued SIG pistols. A great source of information and mentor to so many officers. His experience and machinist abilities are renowned. I contacted him about responding to this thread. Below is the response: "John, They will not let me post due to the fact I am not a member. You can pass this on to the forum. Some of the prices on my web site are not correct. Originally Network Solutions was hosting the site, they unknowingly to me sold it to Amazon and neither myself or the person that did all the changes can get a FTP so I am dead in the water and have been for a year or more. I no longer work on any of the Sigs. Thanks, Frank"

He did the action job on my Hi Power. First rate work, reasonably priced, and a really nice guy. Spent a couple of hours in his shop just trying to soak in some of the knowledge. My daughter can deflate your daughter's soccer ball.
